Our client is a subscription-based internet company that provides dedicated VPNs to ecommerce sellers to scale their online businesses.

The Challenge

Our client wanted to leverage the online attention at scale to acquire new customers. Completely new to social media marketing, our client has never done any paid advertising on social media prior. They came to us to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy across Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit.

How we did it

Our client serves a very specialized niche of entrepreneurs that want to diversify their risk by maintaining numerous accounts on online marketplaces. The first step of our approach was a general market assessment that involved targeting broad interest-based audiences with a lead generation campaign.

After capturing those leads, we built lookalike audiences using our leads as a data source. We designed custom landing pages promoting discounts around the Labor Day holiday weekend to provide an incentive for brand new customers. We used our engaged audiences and traffic to our landing page to create another set of lookalike audiences.

Finally, we extracted customer lists from our client’s CRM and combed through over 10,000+ customers for our third tier of lookalike audiences. To achieve the lowest cost per customer, we integrated these various warm audiences to form several ad sets for conversions targeting.

Our Results

We generated a nearly 60X return on ad spend (ROAS) by spending no more than $10/day. This represents 18 annual subscriptions at $480/year. In under 2 weeks, our multi-channel social campaign resulted in over $8,600 in annual revenue for our client.
